Westinghouse, Simpson, Chef Stove Control Knob Spring Clip.

Replaces Part No. 29143982.

Fits the knobs used on many Westinghouse, Simpson & Chef stoves and cooktops.

This spring clip is located inside the shaft hole on the knob and is opposite the flat side of the shaft hole.

The clip is made from spring steel and is 6mm wide X 10mm long and slightly curved.

If lost or broken, then the knob will be very loose and may fall off. If the spring loses it's tension then the knob will not fit tight enough.

Note, this spring clip does not suit every type of knob used on these brands, and it may also suit some other brands not mentioned.

It is far cheaper than replacing the whole knob.
