Simpson, Westinghouse Top Suspended Transmission Clutch Pawl for Washing Machines.

Clutch pawl with lump used in some early Simpson & Westinghouse top-suspended large & medium automatic washing machines. This part locks into the ratchet assembly at the bottom of the gearbox to lock or release the spin clutch. Failure can cause the machine to only wash in one direction.
