Large wash filter as used in most Vulcan Dishlex dishwashers, including Mark 7/8, 100S, 250S, 500E, 640HD, etc.
This part is often damaged by the heating element.
Note: If this is the case, then most likely your dishwasher also needs the pressure switch kit replaced. It is usually caused by the water heating element coming on without any water in the base of the machine.
